Drifter at dusk

Posted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 25 November 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

A black and white HDR from three RAW files processed in Photoshop and Topaz.

This is an old small path leading across Sandhaven Beach, South Shields to the North Sea. I'll post a colour version in a few days time.

great black and white, i like the path, it draws your eye through the frame. Also HDR helped bring out some detail in the grasses

Interesting how your processing (to my eye) created a film grain, which adds nicely. I like this and I am normally not a fan of HDR, but you did a great job. Kudos!

You did it nicely. This is HDR, but is not what the word "HDR" reminds me.

Hi Curly, I like the way the path leads us to the sea like a path would lead us to our destiny, monochrome being the harsh yes /no choices we have to make, a striking, thought provoking image.
