South Shields Town Hall centenary #1Posted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 2 November 2010 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio. South Shields "new" Town Hall in Westoe Road celebrated its centenary on October 19th, with live entertainment, pop and rock bands, drummers, pipers, and fireworks. It was opened in 1910 as the town expanded towards Westoe Village and is considered one of the grandest public buildings in the north of England.
