I salute you.

The annual Act of Remembrance was held at Westoe Cenotaph, South Shields on Sunday 14 November 2010.
The public service was conducted by the Rev. Paul Kennedy of St. Michael and All Angels, Westoe, and Father Michael Wymes of St. Bede, South Shields.
A huge crowd attended to witness members of the armed services, uniformed youth organisations, Veteran's Associations, civic leaders and members of the public paying tribute to the fallen of two world wars and numerous conflicts since.

This past year Canada's last WWI veteran passed away and each year the ranks of the veterans become smaller. I find it hopeful when I see the youth paying homage to them all. I grew up in a military family and will always honour the men and women who serve and have served.

Well done.
