Victoria and the moonPosted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 23 November 2010 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. The statue of Queen Victoria stands in the centre of the forecourt of South Shields Town Hall. I didn't intentionally want to produce a night time looking shot, this was taken as the sun was setting and I wanted to expose purely for the highlight areas, however, although I like the colour version I thought I'd try a black and white conversion in Nik Silver Efex. I think it turned out reasonably well. Use control and your mouse scroll wheel to zoom the picture/page, then control and 0 to reset to normal size. @Ainsley: The colour shot looks good too, full of warm tints, but on reflection this black and white is far better. |
