Tree under a canopy of lightPosted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 11 December 2010 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio. This was the first set of Christmas illuminations to be switched on in South Shields. The huge tree under its canopy of LED lights stands at the junctions of King Street, Mile End Road, Fowler Street, and Ocean Road in the town centre. So I guess we can justifiably still call the place "the lights." Use control and your mouse scroll wheel to zoom the picture/page, then control and 0 to reset to normal size.
