Now, this is going to be a totally useless comment..get ready. Somewhere near me is a small town that looks just like this. Same rounded old buiding in the middle of the road with relatively wide streets going from it. But I can't remember the name of the town, or the name of the building.....useless!

I don't get out much in the winter myself - like you, we have had more snow than we have had in many years past - snow, then a blast of arctic cold, more snow, then more cold - few days above freezing. My joints ache from the weather changes and my psyche aches from the continual grey skies. Luckily we have photoblogs to show us other places, huh?

It would have been a stellar frame in colour, straight-up mono, sepia, whatever, but the hard HDR treatment really suits it. The sky seems from another dimension altogether, adding even more to an already pleasing photograph.

Now know that it does not matter. It's a great photo. Well done

The treatment goes very well with the clouds and gives the detail a strong push.
Great angle makes you feel you would be driving around this like a merry-go-round.
