Liquorice Allsorts

Posted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 16 December 2011 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Well, that's what it reminded me of :-)
Flower found in the Winter Gardens at Sunderland Museum.

Incidentally, it is now snowing quite heavily in South Shields, but by a stroke of bad luck I have to go to work today!

I think they're really humans who have landed on their backs at the top of each of those tiny purple poles; it was part of a competition to see who could keep the landing-look the same on some alien planet where flowers are the swimming pools! The prize? To get to sit on those blue flowerheads in the middle (they have regenerative powers...)! stars, curly! :OD
