Durham Cathedral, North Bailey portal.

This is one of the back entrances to Durham Cathedral on North Bailey. Through here you will find diocesan offices, the Deanery, the Chapter House, Choristers School facilities, Estates Office etc.

Three hand held shot burst to make this HDR in Photomatix.

Use control and your mouse scroll wheel to zoom the picture/page, then control and 0 to reset to normal size.

Excellent depth of field in this fine HDR. I might have straighted the framing stone columns (but then I am kind of obsessive about vertical lines). Well done. As an aside, you are lucky to live where such great old architecture is plentiful (listen to the guy living in Hawaii being envious....).
