The Olympic Torch Relay made its way through South Shields yesterday moving from Crossgate to the Town Hall through Anderson Street and Ocean Road before following the coast to Whitburn Village and Sunderland. @Jules: Oops slip of the noughts! @Jeff: It doesn't really show how dull and wet, wet, wet, it was. @Ted: NO, to be fair, the largest crowds were on the sea front with that clear run in to the reconstructed Great North Run finishing line. I knew that parking would be a huge problem so I went for the areas that I knew would be quietest, I was on a tight schedule because I was working on Saturday. |
