Wet but bright Buick.Posted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 25 June 2012 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio. Took this yesterday as South Shields honoured our fighting men and women on Armed Forces Day in the Bents Park. The day started wet, cleared up and brightened a little, then the thunderstorms brought torrential downpours, but little in the way of lightening. That was no excuse for me as I shot off hundreds of frames, I probably have enough from this one event to fill this blog for the next six months. Certainly no excuse for passing up the opportunity to make this HDR of an old Buick which I promised the owner would look extra special on this page. I hope he's happy with my result as his pride and joy really looked stunning! Three hand held frames went into Photomatix to make this rather OTT HDR. Full story and more pictures available here. Many thanks for your thoughtful and kind comments over the weekend whilst I was indisposed. Use control and your mouse scroll wheel to zoom the picture/page, then control and 0 to reset to normal size. Even though I may not be able to visit or respond daily, I always welcome your comments or critiques. Read my views in Curly's Corner Shop, to find out a little more about my home town South Shields.
