Get off MY pavement!

Posted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 21 July 2012 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

A strange thing to find defending its territory on the pavements of South Shields, an Australian frilled dragon.
I found it and its owner just a few streets from my home -some people do keep pretty weird house pets!

Awesome shot, though. I once lived in a converted mansion (to apartments) and someone's huge iguana broke loose and was running amok for an entire day. They found it in the laundry room, by following the shrill shriek of a female tenant who had just flicked the lights on and gotten the surprise of her life.
