Medal winning smile

Posted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 11 August 2012 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

Lots of smiles around the UK as team GB reap a rich harvest of medals at the London 2012 Olympics. So I dragged this one out of the recent archives.
It was taken during the Olympic Torch Relay as it passed through South Shields near the Wouldhave Memorial.

Nice shot, I know it's been said before but all those sponsors prior to the torch arrival seemed over the top to me, I just wanted to see the torch and feel some sort of celebration about that than banks, electronics and drinks manufacturers

What a pretty shot of this lovely girl. We have been glued to the boob-tube watching the wonderful events in London. First The wedding, then the Jubilee, and now the Olympics; I think you have a corner on the market in the UK! Your country has done a marvelous job and these Olympics are going to go down in history as one of the very BEST!
