Tuning up

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 9 September 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

Fantastic music was produced by a group of environmentalists from Liverpool at a recent Envirofair in South Shields. All of their instruments were made from recycled junk, metal, wood, plastic, old ventilation tubes, and a dummy leg!

Wonderful angle and Dof. I love the idea of making instruments out of anything. I saw Jack White make a guitar out of a piece of wood and a nail in a film the other day. :)

Oh WOW, I would love to be there for that! My all time favorite musical artist Sun Ra had his jazz big band (maybe 20 musicians) make there own string instruments and learn to play them, the result was titled Strange Strings.
