The hounds at the hall

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 20 September 2009 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

Bilton Hall is a former manor located near South Shields in Jarrow, although all of it's farmlands have long since disappeared and the old hall has now passed into multiple occupancy.

However it still retains an air of opulence and is guarded by these two fearsome looking hounds outside of the front entrance.

Nicely framed Curly. Good light and treatment too.
Though I must say I would not have guessed it to be an old building of merit. Those window replacements have no respect for the architecture.
