A trip with the tripod to the Leas overlooking the cliff tops in South Shields just in order to get a clear view of the full moon rising over Marsden Bay.
I discovered that shooting pictures of the moon is not quite as easy as it looks, and it certainly pays to switch off things like auto focus and auto exposure. Take a spot reading then under expose by two or three stops, bracket, but try to go for short exposures (the moon moves faster than you would imagine.)
Use control and your mouse scroll wheel to zoom the picture/page, then control and 0 to reset to normal size.
