Spring has arrived at last in South Shields, temperatures are on the rise and there is no need for central heating for the greater part of the day. It looks to me as though the whole of South Tyneside is carpeted with crocus in purple, white, and yellow.
These were found in the West Park and the single RAW image has been processed as HDR in Photomatix.

@Fonts: I never put my belly on the ground Adela! I set the camera to aperture priority for shots like these, set the auto timer, then place the camera on the ground fairly close to the subject. If the composition doesn't look too good on the preview screen it is easy enough to delete and try again. Best way to look after these ancient knees!
@grouser: Wouldn't dream of it - see above.
@Self-Indulgence: Just shot a few today where whole formal arrangements of crocus were planted a few years ago, down the centre and edges of dual carriageways leading into town, they look quite spectacular. Don't know if I'll find time to post them because the daffodils will be blooming shortly in their place.
@cristina: Gracias Cristina, yo siempre agradezco sus visitas y comentarios.
@Monik: Mes genoux n'aiment pas se penchant à mon âge, c'est pourquoi je place la caméra sur le sol et laissez le retardateur aller au travail.
@drphoto: I enjoy the way that HDR pulls out more light and textural detail than I could manage with burning or dodging brushes, or simple curves.
