Another angle of the reconstructed west gate at the Arbeia Roman Fort South Shields.

Three hand held shots processed in Photomatix and finished in Noiseware.

I especially like how the heavy pastel red, yellow, greens work here under that gray ceiling. This seems evocative of a 19th century lithograph.

I like this processed in color as well. While the contrast may not be as great between the stone and mortar in the original shot, I love the color variations captured in the stone here.
