Truck and tent conundrum.

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 23 September 2010 in Transportation and Portfolio.

Well...... so sorry not to have been around for the past few days, hard at work earning a living and laying a new floor at home, worse still, I don't have much new material, so a dip into the archives may be necessary.

I missed this year's Great North Run, the annual half marathon from Newcastle is now attracting over 54000 entrants and is usually a spectacle, see the portfolio link at the top of the page to view last year's pictures: however, I did find this little Mercedes truck parked at Gypsies Green Stadium. South Shields the day after the race. The big conundrum is, how did all of these tents fit back into the truck?

Beautiful glowy effect. Strange feeling to see all from the other side of the fence...

Simple, you stack them like Ice Cream Cones, and attach the bottom one to the top of the van with 1 or 2 bungees. As long as he doesn't drive over about 80MPH, it will work fine!
Great shot and usual excellent Curly processing!

Each tent was rolled up into a 2x2 square, and packed tightly into columns.....Does that answer the question??? Cool catch !

The overall white tones and the repeating shapes of the tents make for a great shot. Very nice.
