Cold curtains

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 19 December 2010 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

Found these icicles in the Harton area of South Shields during the cold snap, had a bit of fun playing around to tone map the single image as a pseudo HDR.

I'm getting to like this new version of Photomatix.

PENTAX K100D 1/180 second F/5.6 ISO 1600 82 mm (35mm equiv.)

Good evening Curly,
It looks impressive and somewhat mysterious. The point of view, I like that. Colors and details are excellent for expression. The icicles look like great big needles. I like the picture. For your question, I answer the following. Look up in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advent There you will find explanations for Advent. I wish you including your family merry Christmas and a Happy 2011. Thank you for all your nice comments and fidelity. My time is limited in between to post comments. I have to train our puppy and spending time with him.
Dear greetings Christel
