Cold pies

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 23 December 2010 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

Well the Christmas shopping is almost over now, the winter has set in and all the arrangements are in place before Christmas Eve. It is a toil, it is always so, and shopping can become a burden in economically challenging times.

Here we have a lone shopper in King Street, South Shields, eager for a rest and some food, so it was a quick trip into one of the three Greggs shops in the street to pick up a late afternoon pie, probably cold!

The pain of shopping at Christmas is absolute. I haven't been in one shop (Tay!), it's all been done on Amazon and e-bay, but, then again, much of it hasn't turned up because of the weather. There's no easy way! Anyway, onto the shot..Great, you've captured the essence of the dark, snowy, cold day. I bet he was pleased to get home...
