Geometrics

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 15 January 2011 in Business & Industry and Portfolio.

I'm pretty short of new material at the moment, also pretty short of inspiration and motivation to go out and get it (I'm going through another of those blue periods.)

So for the next few days I'll be taking some time out, perhaps tramping around with my camera, if the legs and hips don't give up. I'll be posting some stuff from last year's archives which I wasn't able to squeeze in at the time, I'll try and get around a few of your blogs as and when I can but I will thank you generously here and now for all of your wonderful comments and words of encouragement.

Picture is of office windows in Middlesbrough. Press f11 for the bigger view.

This almost looks like a CAD (Computer Aided Design) drawing. I say that because I seem to be able to see through stuff that I shouldn't be able to, just like a wireframe 2d picture on a monitor. I'm also intrigued by the pink and green rendition-real, or processing?

@CElliottUK: Just a one click processing for this one Chris image>invert image - done.

Interesting shot - looks like two buildings become as one.

I'm sure that I have a blue period too. The weather has been so wintry that photographing has been almost impossible. My neighbourbood seems to be the same week after week... boooooriiiiing. Thank god we have secret archives which save us from disasters.

I like whatever it is you did to the windows here .. or captured, I can't tell :) Nice geometry and color though. As for 'blue periods' I am having one too. It seems to be extending the length of winter.. hopefully it will let up soon. Good for you for slogging along through it.

16 Jan 2011 7:58pm

@¨‘°ºO Dutçh Oº°‘¨: Oh it's simply inverted - turned into a negative.

Helena from San Sebastian, Spain

I don't know exactly why... but love this picture... those geometrical lines and odd colours... completely take my attention... Great!!

19 Jan 2011 3:15pm

@Helena: When I inverted the image the colours in the glass hardly shifted at all (they were opposites to start with - green/magenta - but the change from a white to a black sky was instantly appealing.)

StarCosmosBleu from Bedford.Qc, Canada

The transparency and effect is awesome...very nice
