Victorian quartet

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 23 March 2011 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

I promise I won't show any more of these for a while.
This was a group of ladies found in the Arbeia Roman Fort in South Shields last summer during one of its open days, dressed in fine period costumes I thought they were very appropriate for a bit of digital time warping.

Reminds me of a picture my little sister and I took when we were young. One of those photographer stands at a fair or something where you could put on old Victorian clothes, old west clothes, etc. and have a vintage picture taken. Thanks for the memory! :)

Aahh, yes; I have some old postcard-style studio images of family members, similarly dressed. I'd love to have lived then as the dress would suit me, especially the hats, I love those big picture hats! This is a fine portrait and realisation. ;OD
