Readhead's Landing on the river Tyne in South Shields, it has been here forever, well it feels that long. Hundreds of years certainly, and it has served as a public slipway for launching small boats into the river Tyne and to provide access to land for anyone injured on the river.
The cobblestones here are as old as time itself.
Listen guys I may not be around for a couple of days, more PC problems I'm afraid, this time it looks like the video card, I'll get around to visiting your blogs or replying to your comments just as soon as I can, keep them coming!

@Richard: I just knew it would look pretty good down here Richard, I used to play on this slipway when I was a kid 40 odd years ago!
@Roman: Yes, difficult to believe there is a huge river down there.
@CElliottUK: Odd......I always thought the Wind Cried Mary.
@J.R.: It didn't look a whole lot better when you arrived at the water's edge.
@Stephen: It is actually an old "keep" used for the gigantic bolts for an old set of gates at the top of the slipway.
