Event: Mouth of the Tyne Festival
Where: Sea Road, South Shields
When: 10th. July 2011

The Rattler pub on the left is a nice unusual place to visit, it's restaurant consists of two converted railway carriages mounted on track. There used to be an old mineral line nearby which carried coal from Marsden (Whitburn) Colliery to Westoe Colliery South Shields. The line and its trains were known as the Marsden Rattler.

All too often a series simply does enough to record the event and satisfy any curiousity one may have had about it. However, this is one of those brilliant rare series that actually makes me wish I'd been there. Cracking stuff, Curly.
