Lovely B&W processing. Works well. Crisp and great depth.

Initially, I thought the 'young Ones' title was a homage to the TV comedy series of the 80s!!!

Very nice point of view and great atmosphere...

6 Oct 2011 6:12am

@Nazzareno: I guess there's a great tip for "noobs" here, always try and get down to a child's eye level to make the picture feel more inclusive and involve the viewer.

Laurie from Prescott, United States

Excellent Curly! I really like the little girl with sunglasses! Boy, you'd never see kids and families here sitting watching a race, especially without their cell phones or gameboys. It's interesting too that the children are sitting and the parents are standing behind them. Another curiosity you don't see here. Really wonderful shot.

@klausZ: I think that's the key Klausz, many of the spectators will have a family member competing in the race.

6 Oct 2011 11:03pm

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

It's nice when these events are made family affairs and the fun the children have can be assimilated to when they may actually get the interest to be future participants. But I think the girl is going to concentrate on being a fashionista. :-) Great composition!
