Freedom of the Borough

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 12 November 2011 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

80 year old veteran councillor Jimmy Capstick discharged himself from hospital to be at South Shields Town Hall on 7th. November where he was installed as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough of South Tyneside by the Mayor and Council. He has served as a Progressive councillor for 45 years, and is the first serving councillor to be awarded this honour during South Tyneside's history.
He is a very selfless man.

The love for this man is apparent in the faces of the others. It is nice to see the respect and formality of the moment at ease.
