@dulang: I didn't make any adjustments to hue and saturation for this short series of shots, these colours are pretty much as seen whilst (and just after) the sun was setting.

dynamite processing. i learned something from RC Concepcion. open your bracketed shots in Photoshop HDR. it does the best job of aligning. if you need to eliminate ghosting, check the ghosting box. then "save as" that file. you have an excellent 32 bit file that can be used for repeated tone mapping in any hdr software program. if at some later time, you want to change the tone mapping, you simply haul out your saved 32 bit file.
