BT HQ (Final)

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 1 December 2011 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

The BT HQ building on the River Tyne in South Shields. This is my favourite of the few shots that I took as the sun went down in the west. I can clearly see the river and its banks in North Shields on the left, and on the right the distinct curve that the river takes at Tyne Dock. I just knew that all of this glassware would look spectacular in the right light, and I'm looking forward to seeing it from the other side at dawn.
You will note from the faster shutter speeds that this was the first of the pictures that I took down there, I've showed these in reverse order, the first in this series was the last one that I made as the light faded away.

Five shot HDR, Photomatix Pro 4.

More graphic art than photography for me, but what does that matter when the results are this good? You've extracted so much detail and the vivid colours really add to the spectacle - great job!
