Newcastle upon Tyne's Central Arcade, with a slight quirky tilt as it turns into Grey Street - not HDR!

First thought was a definite HDR rendition but then read your comments - topaz can really help bring out those finer details; I love the ornate tiled arches of this "quirky" arcade.

I very much like the tilt - it leads us around the corner at the end of the arcade. Beautiful textured detail as well.

26 Jan 2012 12:11pm

@Stephen: When you look closer you will find the definite angles in the floor and above the arches where the whole place takes a slight twist and turn.

AnneCphotography from somewhere over the rainbow, Switzerland

what an impressive HDR !!!! Great job !!!!

26 Jan 2012 12:44pm

@AnneCphotography: It might look like one but it isn't, I used Topaz Adjust instead.

Ainsley from Derbyshire, United Kingdom

Does look HDR like, feels like a very Masonic feel to the shot. Turning the stone to gold.

26 Jan 2012 1:34pm

@Ainsley: It may look like stonework, but the colour and sheen is due to the Victorian use of glazed tiles.

Tede from Aubenas 07, France

A real marvel with this processing, splendid job. Good day.

26 Jan 2012 3:16pm

Jaytee from Fresno, California, United States

Very nice Curly! It does look like a HDR image but it's probably all due to the lighting reflecting off the walls.

26 Jan 2012 3:34pm

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

Well, I've lost my £10 then! I would have been absolutely sure it was HDR! Stonkin' shot!

Judy aka L@dybug from Brooksville, FL, United States

The "quirky tilt" of wonderful Topaz processing doesn't bother me a bit, but the shoes are going to fall of their rack if this isn't leveled! ;D

Very nice detail, the niche at one time had a statue likely there, and would have been
nice had they kept it, would have capped the photo perfectly. Great work here.
