Durham cathedral cloisters

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 16 May 2012 in Architecture and Portfolio.

I was pressed up hard with my back against the wall, just wishing that I had 8, 10, or 12 mm, I think a fish eye might have looked just great. "Cut your cloth" I said, and got on with framing the shot.
Also disappointed that it was so quiet that day, a solitary priest or visitor would have finished this off nicely thank you very much.

Three shot hand held burst to make this HDR in Photomatix.

Good example of HDR bringing a shot to life. If you need wider, go into portrait orientation and stitch a panorama - or buy my 12-24!

Basile Pesso from Barcelona, Spain

Also very good, I have a preference for the B and W of today and its deep power, and with the HDR less visible, which I always like :-)

19 Jan 2014 10:26am

@Basile Pesso: Thank you Basile your words are very much appreciated today, especially as you add some detail to your thoughts about the emotional impact that mono gives. Despite the fact that my time is very short and limited at the moment I'd like to say how thankful I am for your continued visits and support.
