@Lokesh: Just to break up the action of the waves and reduce the erosion of the sands.
@Veronique: Yes, that's the one! I use the "Classic portrait" module, then apply a curves adjustment layer for the highlights. After that I make a circular selection and invert it, set this on a new layer and fill with white, set the blend mode to "screen" and adjust the opacity. Sometimes I add a mask to this layer and paint through with black to reveal a little more detail below.
