I just had to go down to the Bents Park in South Shields this weekend where the proprietors of the Ocean Beach Pleasure Park were hosting a short series of drive-in movies at night. I have to applaud them for thinking outside of the box and attempting something which is so different to what we have been used to in the realms of seaside entertainment in the winter months.
The first movie was aimed at kids, the later ones were of the horror genre for Halloween, you might notice a few steamy windows here :-) The other great feature was that the park was silent, the audio for the film was picked up by tuning in on the car's FM radio, so nearby residents had no noise to put up with at all - great idea!
With a bit of luck this picture will soon be posted on the fun park's website too.
Here's a nice bit of music to go with the show.
Use control and your mouse scroll wheel to zoom the picture/page, then control and 0 to reset to normal size.

@Lokesh: If you zoom this up to almost full screen you might just see some stars too.
@Loukas: It was bloody freezing!
Car engines running to get some warmth ha, ha.
@CElliottUK: Ah, talking of Tina, can I thoroughly recommend Lisa Fischer, one of her constant backing singers? She also works on all of the Rolling Stones tours, look her up on Wikipedia, plenty of vids on YouTube too, she's a delight.
@Christine: Same reply as to Chris:

@grouser: Ha, well I parked close by, but I must have looked pretty weird carrying a step ladder on my back!
@Jules: Some sort of Aliens vs Monsters thing for the young ones on this night.
@You Know Me: Actually I focussed on the screen, if you zoom the page up (ctrl and , or your scroll wheel) you will see that the moon is fairly fuzzy and not that sharp at all.
