Abstract #3

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 5 December 2012 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

Another abstract made in South Shields Snooker Centre by waiving the camera slowly about whilst using a longish exposure. Layers are then made and experiments with different blend modes and gradient maps provide the strange colours.

gerard1948 from Santiago de Compostela, Spain

Excellent treatment, it is superb. It is realized with a half mirror image processed? The top and bottom are similar, only the intensity of the light changes. I like a lot.
Have a good day.

5 Dec 2012 12:24pm

@gerard1948: Yes you are correct, one of the layers was inverted to produce a mirrored image effect.

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

Amazing result! I waved mine around and nothing worth saving.

5 Dec 2012 6:13pm

@Ruthiebear: Don't dismiss you efforts so quickly, take your frame into your photo editor and be VERY experimental with things like colour and contrast, hue and saturations, levels, curves etc. Even better if you can work in layers and play with different blend modes. You just never know what you might create!

Sam from Chennai, India
