Green land.

Environmental protection scheme on Sandhaven Beach, South Shields.
The sand dunes have been replanted with precious rye grasses to help them redevelop, this prevents much of the beach being dumped on the roads when the wind whips in from the North Sea.

You have reminded me of building houses at Fleetwood (?) and someone having the idea of spreading seaweed over the gardens to limit erosion . . the seaweed ended up snagged on the rooftops !

Nice to see this kind of effort underway. Hope the grass doesn't end up the way of the seaweed though. LOL BTW, I'm really up early this morning due to a sore back.

I remember so clearly watching David Bellamy(Remember him?) With his lovely accent talking about "The Marram grass binding the sand together, producing the humus that will turn the shifting sands into a stable ecosystem"

Good to see something being done for the green way, the many pickets of the fences
lend many ridges for the sun to fall, best use of the beautifully falling light and very
nicely framed !~
