The year of the snake

Posted by Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 11 February 2013 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

Chinese New Year celebrations in Newcastle Upon Tyne yesterday as the dragon snakes its way down Stowell Street. Processed using the Lucis Arts plug in. For some unkown reason the crowds were absolutely MASSIVE this year, the threatened snow did not materialise and it was extremely difficult to find good shooting positions and conditions. Most of my shots were not clever, no more than "snaps", but at least I managed to record some of the event with "MIssy" by my side. We couldn't stay all day because we needed to be back to the hospital in South Shields.

Update

My wife has been admitted to hospital with a terminal illness and I have two children and a part time job to look after. I have pre-posted pictures up until Sunday, not sure when I will be back on a regular daily basis. Just hoping that it won't be too long.

Use control and your mouse scroll wheel to zoom the picture/page, then control and 0 to reset to normal size.

Even though I may not be able to visit or respond daily, I always welcome your comments or critiques.
