A more conventional framing for the Groyne lighthouse at the mouth of the River Tyne in South Shields. The Littlehaven Hotel with its views out to sea and along the river sits at the shore end of the pier on the left. I arrived just in time to see the sun set over North Shields fish quay and hung around hoping for some additional colour in the following half hour. Unfortunately it just descended into blue and grey!
I'm now starting to get a better handle on the controls of this Fuji Finepix HS30EXR, especially the exposure compensation control, which I now use quite extensively. All of the adjustments for this sunset were made in Adobe Camera RAW.
Mrs. Curly has now completed the latest course of her treatment and is being nursed at home, she is doing quite well and is able to get about again. Necessarily I have to devote most of my time to her and the children, so for now reciprocal visits to your pages will be very limited, but I do appreciate reading your comments.
