This shot ended my little walk down to the Groyne Pier in South Shields to capture the sun setting with this new camera. Within minutes of yesterday's picture the sky had lost its colour and we were left with a pretty mundane view up the River Tyne. As I left, I passed the front of the Littlehaven Hotel and snapped the view that diners were enjoying, a very quiet harbour as the Tyne slowly flows into the North Sea, not a soul to be seen on Littlehaven Beach either.
This ends this little series of sunsets. We travel across to the other side of the river next week.
I'm now starting to get a better handle on the controls of this Fuji Finepix HS30EXR, especially the exposure compensation control, which I now use quite extensively. All of the adjustments for this sunset were made in Adobe Camera RAW.
Mrs. Curly has now completed the latest course of her treatment and is being nursed at home, she is doing quite well and is able to get about again. Necessarily I have to devote most of my time to her and the children, so for now reciprocal visits to your pages will be very limited, but I do appreciate reading your comments.
Use control and your mouse scroll wheel to zoom the picture/page, then control and 0 to reset to normal size.
Read my views in Curly's Corner Shop, to find out a little more about my home town South Shields.
