The interior of William Wight's shop on the fish quay in North Shields. Mrs. Curly was captivated and bought old fashioned sweets, salted butter cut from a huge block, smoked bacon, and cheese (as well as the vegetable broth). The walls are hung with all sorts of memorabilia, it gives the distinct air of a family business that has refused to die.
It reminded me so much of "Open all Hours", the old comedy starring Ronnie Barker and David Jason.
