Flaring up.

This is an Apache helicopter from the Belgian Air Force at the top of a loop, and making use of defensive decoy flares.
Shot at the Sunderland International Air show on 27th. July.

John in Newcastle managed to capture the same Apache, see his shot here, it's almost identical.

PENTAX K100D 1/1000 second F/8.0 ISO 200 450 mm (35mm equiv.)
