Getting it all in.

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 6 October 2013 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Well it is a big ship, so you need to stand well back to get it all in.
This is the MSC Magnifica moored opposite South Shields on the River Tyne.
Shot taken from the Mill Dam.

grouser from Ludlow, United Kingdom

Lovely frame Curly and an impressive ship though I don't quite understand the attraction of chugging around captive on a floating high rise myself. A 24 hour ferry trip is more than enough :)

I'm with grouser, 24hrs is enough.

Now I understand one of the design specs I read on a supertanker recently. "Must be able to be fully loaded and unloaded in one day, running costs cannot be more than .1p per kilo, per 5000 miles, must be able to fit onto a phone camera screen"

Judy aka L@dybug from Brooksville, FL, United States

A super shot of this interesting outfit ... did she forget to take off her pjs?
She's capturing another vertical phone shot of a decidedly horizontal subject. Was she wired for sound, Curly? ;D

6 Oct 2013 9:00pm

@Judy aka L@dybug: I cannot comment on her outfit, but you are so right about the framing of HER shot :-) As for being wired for sound, definitely so.......I could hear Abba from a distance.
