A splash of wild colour

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 9 October 2013 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Sorry.......have I woken you up?

I spotted some flowers in one of our local supermarkets in South Shields and they looked so........artificial. The colours were so bright and vivid I had to have a touch just to reassure myself that they were real. They sure were, but I guess these have been genetically modified in some way to grow such colourful blooms.

Just another quick snap from my phone, I used the Snapseed app. :-)

We humans have a huge desire to change the nature created everything. Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we do not. The picture is fine with bright, with the strongest colors.

What they do here is put them in colored water and the color seeps up into the originally white blooms. This sure has eye popping color!

Why cant we humans not be satisfied what Nature gives us - including the colors of flowers. These look awful to me ........ like artaificial - actual thats what they are - or what I call artificially modified -its bad enough they do it to our food ....... now you can not even buy natural flowers ...... What a world ..
Regards and thanks for sharing MN
