Winning the lineout ball

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 21 October 2013 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

This is Westoe RFC vs Waterloo played at Woods Terrace, South Shields.
Westoe Rugby Club have been a permanent fixture in South Shields since 1875, they share the ground with South Shields Cricket Club, Woods Terrace also offers tennis and squash.
Westoe currently play in the National League Third Division North and sit around mid table. Their biggest drawback is that they only have the one pitch, despite having four senior teams and a number of colts and junior teams (who need to hire pitches from South Tyneside District Council).

The view you see here is Waterloo (with the white stripes) winning their own lineout.

Westoe won this match against Waterloo.

Sorry that I haven't been available for the last few days, but the painting and decorating is coming along nicely and I should be back visiting your sites soon.
