Saturday sanctuary.

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 2 November 2013 in Architecture and Portfolio.

St. Jude's church, Laygate, South Shields.

This view shows the re-positioned altar, the choir, the sanctuary, and the high altar. This is quite a decorative "high church", and certainly colourful.
Worth a visit if you find it open (that's the trouble with society now, you cannot even leave a church door open.)

My dear wife is much relieved and happier after yesterday's visit to the hospital. Her primary tumor is not growing at any more than a slow pace, and we are hopeful that further radio therapy may be offered for her secondary tumors. She is a gritty, determined fighter, desperate to spend more time with us, and now looking forward to the Christmas period with renewed hope. Her pain is being constantly monitored and well managed. Thank you all for your support, good wishes, and prayers.
