Rushing to buy a copy of the Shields Gazette in Hudson Street, South Shields.

Did you know the Shields Gazette is the oldest daily provincial newspaper in the UK?

I wonder about the telephone box - does it get used at all these days? Most people have a mobile phone, but I guess it is there in case of emergencies.

Sixties housing with shops on the ground floor, businesses failing, shops and leases for sale - rainy dull winter, same story all over the UK.

Dommage pour les bouts de pieds qui manquent, mais on ne peut tout maîtriser. Belle scène !

If there had been a Lamborghini parked there, I could have mistaken this for Kensington High street.

Superb sad moody picture with excellent composition...the little image quality's problem doesn't bother because of the global quality :-)
I agree with Ronnie.

A very nice Black and White, she seems lost in this desert decor, everything seems abandoned.
Have a good Sunday.

The first thing I noticed was the phone booth. You don't see those much anymore. A great image!

"Businesses failing, shops and leases for sale - rainy dull winter, same story all over the UK" ... doesn't sound good. Your image documents this so well ... and as for the phonebooth, I can't tell you the last time I saw one.
