Dreaming of Leonardo part two

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 19 May 2014 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

Colour version with a romantic Titanic feel, shot from the Millennium Bridge at Gateshead looking towards the Tyne Bridge, the Swing Bridge, the Metro Bridge and the King Edward Bridge.

Take a look at the monochrome version yesterday and let me know which you prefer.

This shot concludes this short Quayside photostory.

Color 'swings' it for me with this one but, as often with such comparisons, I am aware that color also suppresses detail (in the eye and mind) that mono can effortlessly reveal.

Ronnie explains it perfectly and I agree with him. The colour has it for me as it seems to bring the figures to life making them part of this stunning scene, where the mono seems to loose them a little
