A choir of Singers for Silly Tuesday

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 25 August 2015 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

Part of a large series of pictures made in the City of Leeds during a day away from South Shields, a varied mixture of street documentaries and high colour HDRs made in Briggate and the Victorian Quarter. I hope you enjoy them all.

All Saints shop in the Victorian Quarter - I understand that they make a habit of collecting old "Singer" sewing machines to emphasise their credentials as tailors and outfitters.

Interesting shot and attractive, too! (As a child I was fascinated by one of these old machines and finished by having the needle go through one of my thumbs...and the fascination came to an end!)

As an old seamstress myself, I could enjoy seeing these old machines!

How clever you are! And I love those old foot pump machines. They were decorated with scrolling, and rather beautiful.
