Well at most British seaside resorts you might find a ride on a donkey, or a carousel horse, but here in Whitby you could take a ride along the pier in a coffin! The gentleman driving you was raising funds for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute) a bunch of brave volunteers who we couldn't manage without!
That, my friends, brings this whole marathon adventure to a close. I hope you've enjoyed this series of people pictures and were wowed by some of the fantastic costumes. I might do it again next year :-)
So tomorrow we will be back to the more mundane churches or cathedrals in glorious HDR!
