Today's Silly Tuesday picture shows the first of about 150 teddy bears parachuting from the tower of the parish church in Rothbury. During their annual summer fete the Boy Scouts used this spectacle as a fundraiser. It cost £1.00 to have your bear attached to a plastic carrier bag "parachute" and launched off the church tower, prizes were awarded to the teddy bears that managed to sail over rooftops and get furthest away from the church!
It gathered a large crowd and was quite fun too!
