Dog and castle.

Posted by

"Dog and castle", would make a good name for a pub, don't you think?
This couple were enjoying some fish and chips and feeding some to their dog, sitting in the harbour in the old Northumbrian fishing village of Amble. Years ago this was quite a black and dirty port with big coal staithes loading colliers for the sea trip to London, now it is clean and revived, and even at low tide it gives a spectacular view along the River Coquet towards Warkworth castle.

Great composition with a view of the castle in the background!! I am amazed at how low the tide can get there.
