Sycamore Gap

Posted by
Curly (South Shields, United Kingdom) on 23 September 2017 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This is the tree featured in the film "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves" starring Kevin Kostner. It is situated on Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland and stands there all alone in this dip in the wall, in front of it are the remains of a small circular "bothy" where sheep sheltered in harsh weather.
I have a number of versions of this picture, and rather than show them all at once, I'll just throw one in from time to time.
